In Evanston, Illinois.
The Chicago skyline is so cool that there is truly no bad angle at which to view it. No matter from which direction or distance you see it, it’s really stunning. Even this shot, which is taken along the shores of Lake Michigan on the campus of Northwestern University about 12-15 miles north and which treats the skyline itself as a shadowy backdrop to an interesting NU tradition of painting the lakeshore rocks and concrete slabs, still captures something special about it. I’m still working on getting a nice aerial shot of the skyline (if taken from the sky, does it become an “earthline” or “groundline”?). Once I’ve got one that’s good enough, I’ll be sure to share.
