The 17th century fortress town of Mont-Louis, just north of the Spanish border, is one of the 12 Fortifications of Vauban that dot the border of France and collectively comprise a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The very cool, literally and figuratively, Pyrenees Mountains make a nice natural backdrop to the man-made carved stonework of the fortress wall and turret.
