Give Thanks

In Navajo Nation at Page, Arizona

Outside an entrance to Antelope Canyon, a beautiful slot canyon outside Page, Arizona, about 3 hours’ drive from Sedona. In the shot above are the hands and triple-flute of our tour guide, Leonard, playing traditional Navajo music after a short but awe-inspiring trek through the canyon.

On Thanksgiving 2020, amidst all the noise and nuisance, these words from Tecumseh still hold true:

“When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.”
