Merry Christmas

On Mt. Helix, La Mesa, California.

A couple of days ago, we saw the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in the night sky, last seen 800 years ago. Though it was only two dots high in the sky, it was still pretty amazing to see. At the end of the crazy year 2020 has been, there was something about that once-per-millennium celestial event that inspired a combination of awe, faith, and hope within me. Something about the light from those planets reaching down to us on Earth reminded me of what a heavenly spark can do for the soul.

And now, here we are at Christmas 2020…the greatest day of the year for Christians to be moved by awe, faith, and hope. We need those things more than ever this year to spark the light in our souls to work for better days to come.

“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:4-5

See the light, be the spark. 2021 will need it.

Merry Christmas!
