In Washington, DC.
They say “Hope is not a strategy.” I agree with that. But hope is the start of making strategy. If you don’t have hopefulness for change, you won’t see the need for a strategy to move forward. But hope is not enough…it’s just the beginning. The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was not just a “stone of hope.” He was a mountain of action, too. Hope makes you believe that despair can be conquered. But action actually does it. This mountain of a man was the best of us at taking action to convert the hope for a future centered around universal love into a livable, sustainable reality. Such a shame we’re still working on it. We can’t let him down.
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
Happy MLK Day.
