In San Diego, California

Three little flower heads and a tiny twig floating in a small stone-filled, basin-like fountain in front of the Prescott Prayer Chapel at Point Loma Nazarene University. Quite a nice, simple (if unintentional) floral arrangement in a unique kind of vessel. With water so clear and still, it’s easy to think the flowers are resting atop the stones…but nope. They’re floaters.

“What can he gather
himself together to know? She’s flower, light.
Light glances off the water. Flowers float.”
