Beachgoers in and out of the Pacific Ocean at Carlsbad State Beach. Looks like summertime fun, but this photo was actually taken around Thanksgiving time. A major benefit of Southern California living!

Just a matter of time (a LOT of time) and erosion (a LOT of erosion) for this rocky outcrop to become sand. Check back probably in a million years or so.
